2Your Choices — and How to Change Them
Nothing but strictly necessary cookies runs until you say yes. When you first visit the Site, a consent banner appears. Analytics, session-recording and marketing cookies stay switched off unless and until you actively opt in. Refusing is exactly as easy as accepting — "Reject all" sits on the same screen, in the same style, as "Accept all".
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time, with no penalty and no loss of access to any content:
- Use the Cookie Settings link in the footer of any page, or the button below.
- Switch individual purposes on or off — it is not all-or-nothing.
- Clear your browser's cookies and site data for amztoolhub.com; the banner will ask you again on your next visit.
Withdrawing consent stops future processing. It does not undo processing that already, lawfully, took place while your consent was active.
3The Four Categories We Use
We group cookies by purpose, not by vendor, so that a single choice covers everything doing the same job.
- Strictly necessary — page delivery, security, and remembering your cookie choice. Always on. Under Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive these are exempt from consent because the Site cannot be provided without them.
- Analytics — aggregated statistics on which comparisons and reviews get read. Consent required.
- Session recording & heatmaps — anonymised replays of mouse movement, scrolling and clicks so we can find broken layouts. Consent required, and kept separate from plain analytics because it is more intrusive.
- Marketing & affiliate measurement — attribution of a signup back to the page that referred it. Consent required.
Important: refusing every optional category changes nothing about what you see. Rankings, scores, prices and recommendations on this Site are identical for every visitor and are never personalised based on cookie data.
5Third Parties & International Transfers
Consenting to analytics or session recording means the providers below receive data about your visit — including your IP address, which is personal data under the GDPR — and act as our processors or, for their own purposes, as independent controllers.
- Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC (Google Analytics 4) — Privacy Policy · browser opt-out add-on
- Microsoft Corporation (Microsoft Clarity) — Privacy Statement
- Vercel Inc. — hosting and content delivery; processes request logs to serve pages and protect the Site (strictly necessary).
- Supabase — hosted database for community tool reviews; loaded only on the review pages, and only to read published reviews or submit your own (strictly necessary for that feature). Privacy Policy
Web fonts are self-hosted. The Lexend typeface and Material Symbols icons are served from amztoolhub.com, not from Google's font servers, so loading a page discloses no IP address to Google for font delivery.
These providers are based in, or transfer data to, the United States. Transfers out of the EEA, the UK and Switzerland rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and, where the provider is certified, the EU-US, UK Extension and Swiss-US Data Privacy Framework, together with supplementary technical and organisational measures. You may request a copy of the relevant safeguards using the contact details in Section 8.
6Global Privacy Control, Do Not Track & Browser Controls
We honour Global Privacy Control (GPC). If your browser or extension transmits a GPC signal, we treat it as a valid opt-out: every non-essential cookie stays off, no analytics or session-recording script is loaded, and — for California residents — it is treated as a request to opt out of any sale or sharing of personal information. You will not be shown a consent banner, because the answer has already been given.
We treat a Do Not Track (DNT) header the same way, even though there is no legal obligation to do so and no industry standard for it.
Independently of anything on this Site, you can control cookies in your browser: block third-party cookies, delete stored cookies, or have them cleared automatically when you close the browser. Instructions are in the help pages of Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the Site working.
7Your Rights Over Cookie Data
Where cookies process personal data, you have the rights set out in full in our Privacy Policy. In summary:
- EEA / UK / Switzerland (GDPR, UK GDPR, FADP): access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection, and the right to withdraw consent at any time. You may also lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority.
- California (CCPA/CPRA): the right to know, delete, correct, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising. Use "Cookie Settings" or send a GPC signal — both are honoured as opt-out requests. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.
- Other US states (including Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana and Delaware): equivalent access, deletion, correction and opt-out rights under their respective privacy statutes.
We respond to verifiable requests within 30 days (GDPR/UK GDPR: one month, extendable by two further months for complex requests) or 45 days (CCPA/CPRA, extendable once by a further 45 days). Exercising any of these rights is free and will never result in discriminatory treatment.
8Changes & Contact
We update this policy whenever we add, remove or repurpose a cookie. Material changes bump the consent version, which clears your stored preference and asks you again — consent given for one set of purposes is never silently reused for another.
